Search Lake County permit records
The county's Permitting Information page links out to a set of standalone search tools (on the c.lakecountyfl.gov subdomain) that search by address, alternate key, applied-for date, contractor DBA name, issued date, owner name, permit number, and permit type. A direct fetch of the address-search and permit-number-search tools showed no login/password form; the page itself warns the permit data is 'for informational purposes only' and permit activity reports 'are not official records of open or expired permits.'.
The search accepts address, alternate key, applied for date, contractor, issued date, owner name, permit number, or permit type.

How to search
- Open the Lake County permit record search.
- Enter an address, or switch the search type to look up permits by alternate key, applied for date, contractor, issued date, owner name, permit number, or permit type.
- Open a result to see the permit's status, inspection history, and issue date.
If the permit does not turn up
Older permits are often missing from online records, and a permit filed under a contractor's name will not surface in an address search that expects the owner. Office of Building Services can check the paper file.
